If your role involves helping families make sense of emotions, behaviour, stress, overwhelm, or disconnection — this training is designed for you.

Why Co-Regulation Matters More Than Ever

Parents today are navigating more stress, less support, and higher expectations than any previous generation. Children — from babies to teenagers — are showing rising levels of anxiety, dysregulation, and emotional overwhelm.

Traditional behaviour-management strategies often fall short because they aim to control behaviour, rather than understand the nervous system underneath it.

Co-regulation offers a different path. It’s the process of helping another nervous system feel safe enough to settle, connect, and learn. It’s relational. It’s physiological. And it’s foundational to healthy development — in infancy, childhood, and adolescence. This course helps you teach parents how to become the safe, steady anchor their children need.

When parents have a calm nervous system themselves, they communicate better, are in touch with their own inner wisdom and have a healthier mind and body

When You've Finished the Training:

By the end of this course, you will be able to help families:

  • Build secure, attuned relationships grounded in nervous system understanding
  •  Navigate meltdowns, shutdowns, anxiety, or big feelings with compassion
  • Respond to behaviour challenges through connection rather than control
  • Support neurodivergent children with strategies that honour their sensory and emotional needs
  • Strengthen resilience, emotional intelligence & self-regulation skills
  • Create family environments where both parents and children feel understood, supported & connected

You’ll be able to guide parents from “How do I fix this behaviour?” to “How do I help my child feel safe?”

What You’ll Learn

The Polyvagal Framework
Understand the nervous system states that drive behaviour, emotion, and connection — and learn how to support families in recognising and shifting these states.

Building Resilience
Explore what resilience truly means, how it develops, and how caregivers can nurture it through responsive, attuned relationships.

Emotional Intelligence
Teach parents and children how to understand, express, and integrate emotions with confidence and compassion.

Attachment Theory
Build your ability to support secure parent–child bonds across developmental stages — from newborns to teens.

The Window of Tolerance
Learn how stress, overwhelm, and sensory input affect a child’s capacity to function — and how caregivers can expand their child’s window through regulation practices.

Mindful Moments & Movement
Practical tools for integrating somatic awareness, grounding techniques, and movement-based emotional regulation into family life.

Session Samples, Class Templates & Adaptable Teaching Plans
Instead of a fixed curriculum, you’ll receive flexible templates you can adapt to suit: babies toddlers school-aged children teenagers neurodivergent families group or 1:1 settings These samples help you confidently teach co-regulation in real-life sessions, workshops, or home visits.
